Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2026. This is a plain-language summary for this demo build, not formal legal advice.
This policy explains what SecureCheck collects, why, and the control you have over your data. We designed the product to hold as little of your data as possible.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email and hashed password.
- Scan data: the website addresses you ask us to scan and the results we generate.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical logs (IP address, timestamps) needed to run the service securely.
How we use it
- To run the scans you request and show you the reports.
- To send the alerts and digests you have enabled (you can turn these off).
- To operate, secure and improve the service. We do not sell your data.
AI processing disclosure
Where AI features are used to summarise findings, only the scan findings (not your credentials) are processed, solely to produce your report. Your scan data is never used to train third-party models.
Data retention & deletion
- You can delete any scan and its report at any time from your dashboard.
- You can set an automatic-deletion period in your account so reports are purged after a chosen number of days.
- Deleting your account removes your personal data and scan history.
Data isolation
Each customer’s scans and reports are logically isolated and only visible to that account (and administrators for support).
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We aim to respond within 30 days.
